Ho-ho-ho! It’s officially party season, which means Christmas celebrations are just around the corner. Have you already selected your look for the occasion? Or are you not sure where to begin in picking out a stylish yet comfortable outfit? Wherever you are in the planning process, choosing what to wear for Christmas parties should be fun.
People have very different ideas about what a Christmas Day outfit should look like. Some dress up in silks and sequins whilst others have a strict “pj’s only” policy. Whatever your stance is on the December 25th dress code, read on for the formula that can work for almost every style.
Flattering and versatile outfits
As far as dress trends go, they don’t come much more iconic than the slip dress. A firm fixture on the fashion scene since the early ’90s, when supermodels flaunted them into mainstream stores, the style has gone on to prove that it has serious staying power. I’ve always been a fan of slip dresses and have been wearing them for all types of occasions: from beach parties combined with nice flats, to business meetings paired with an oversized blazer and pointed heels.
Here is one life-hack that I want to share with you: the slip dress is no longer an after-dark item. You can wear it in the daytime, and even pair it with a chunky cardigan and sneakers. It’s more versatile than you may have initially thought. So, no matter how you are going to celebrate Christmas – whether you’re spending a relaxed day at the beach, attending a smart lunch or a glamorous evening soiree – the simple slip is the best garment to add to your outfit. An added bonus is that you can find slip dresses that cater to all price ranges.
For Christmas, I particularly love slip dresses as I’m a bit of a silk enthusiast! For some parties this season, I’ve been wearing metallic dresses with Fragiacomo heels, for others I prefer the classic little black dress which always looks sexy and stylish.
The perfect go-to heels for celebratory occasions
When it comes to getting ready, I’m a huge fan of anything that makes the process easier. This is probably why I’ve built up quite the collection of shoes! However, since I plan to wear a dressier outfit for Christmas this year, I need a pair of attractive heels that are still comfortable. Undoubtedly, the shoes that are perfect for this occasion is a fantastic pair of black velvet Fragiacomo heels.
Just a quick glance at my Instagram feed, and there’s no denying I’m a huge fan of pointed-toe shoes. While classic black pumps are a wardrobe staple, the Fragiacomo velvet heels have taken things to the next level with their romantic and sultry style.
These black heels feature an intriguing chiffon ruffle detail, adding a slightly alluring element. However, these pumps remain just as versatile as their traditional counterparts. In fact, these attention-grabbing shoes have quickly become my all-time favorite.

The right accessories can totally transform an outfit and is the perfect way to make that little black dress you’ve been wearing every Christmas feel a little more special. My formula for 2018? The more sparkles, the better!
