I can safely say that the best part of my work travels has to be the hotels I stay in. I like to thoroughly enjoy the room, get a good night’s sleep, and get out and about to just get to know the neighborhood.
Recently, my best friend and I discovered a new favorite designer hotel in Paris called 1k hotel —located in the Marais, in the 3rd arrondissement.

I’ve been reminiscing lately on my trip to Iceland back in November, when I explored the icy wonderland in the far north.
As I embarked on my journeys through Europe, I knew I had to visit the Swiss Alps! The culture, the nature, the people, the food – these were all things I was dying to immerse myself in.
Well, not so secret anymore! These are my favourite spots in Paris that aren’t overcrowded with tourists 24/7, and are generally more tranquil, serene and beautiful. Many were discovered simply by wandering the magical streets of this city of love, exploring hidden alleyways and venturing into small side streets.
As part of my adventures through Paris, it was recommended that I spend a couple of nights in the historic Latin Quarter! I quickly heard that Hotel Monge is one of the most popular places in the area, so it claimed the top spot in my itinerary.
When it comes to good food, beautiful scenery, and luxury hotels – Italy really does has it all. I’m sure every other country apart from Italy would probably disagree, but personally for me, it’s as one of the worlds best gastronomic capitals and has such a vast array of just about everything edible.
Following a beautiful visit to Adelboden, my great Swiss trip has taken me north- west, to the capital. People have been telling me about Bern for years, but I’ve never managed to see it for myself until now.
Paris is one of those cities that is easy to fall in love with. The culture, the food, the romance in the air – all things that bring passion and vibrance to every street and alleyway.
